Hard Places

above: A thriving church in NE India we visited four years ago. It was burnt to the ground several months ago.

This past Fall I was in the southeastern United States when I received word that three from one of our networks were gunned down in ****. They were couriers for us, transporting scripture and money into the “hard and hostile” places.

What they did and what they risked was done so that God’s Word would be life-giving to thousands that they would never meet this side of heaven. They were sitting on a park bench having a Bible Study when their lives were taken.

So, when you step-out today and enjoy what God has created think about Psalms 9:1, 2

“I will give thanks to the lord with my whole heart; I

will RECOUNT all of your wonderful deeds. I will be glad

and exult in you; I will sing praises to your name,

O Most High.”

Four times the writer declares, I will. That’s an action. These actions consist of our attitude and our mind, our spirit, and our voice AND all point to a declaration of our personal experience with how great our God is. Here’s to your discovering today how great our God is. BUT when difficulties come (and they do come) does our gratitude sore and does it spill from our lives because we understand and know He unequivocally loves us?
